Summer Term Highlights

Sorry parents/carers - I'm going to say it! Here we are at the last ever term at Elton Primary School.  In just 12 and a half school weeks, we'll be saying goodbye to the year 6 children as they make their way into secondary school.

We have a very busy term planned for them, starting with their residential in France with Mr Shaw & Mrs Logan.  SAT's week, otherwise known as "Breakfast cooked by Mr Shaw week", will then be upon us.  That will be followed by Bikability week and transition days.

We will be cooking Vegetarian Penne Pasta & Tomato Bake as well as Ultimate Scones (we'll leave you to debate whether they are pronounced with an oh or o and whether jam should come before cream).

Books this term will be Wonder by R.J. Palacio and Cosmic by Frank Cottrell-Boyce.

English will be persuasive writing, Art will be Pop art based on Andy Warhol, and we'll be joining our EYFS buddies on a trip to Airbus in Stevenage to discover their Space centre.

We'll also be looking back on our time at Elton and preparing for our final leavers assembly in July.
