Christmas Service
What a fantastic performance I witnessed on Tuesday! Key Stage 2 children and their teachers were invited to the church to see a rehearsal of the EYFS and KS1 Christmas nativity.
The practice was in preparation for our traditional end of term service which will take place in the church on Friday at 2pm. As we now have increased numbers on roll we have had to change our usual format. This year, the children from EYFS will reprise their Christingle "roles" as the nativity tableau, and they will be supported by the actors, soloists and choir from Year 1 and 2 who will tell us about a "Little Nativity". Without giving anything away, I can let you know that you are in for a real treat; the children and staff in EYFS and KS1 have been working incredibly hard to give you a performance that you will remember! I'm sure that you will enjoy watching the performance as much as the children have enjoyed practising it!
After the service you are all invited back to the school hall for mulled wine and mince pies before taking your children home. In the hall you will also have the opportunity of finding out a little more about some organisations which form a key role in supporting our school. Please do take a little time to find out how you could make a difference to the running of our school - education really must be a partnership between parents and school for it to have the best possible outcomes for the children.
I hope to see lots of you on Friday, but for those of you who are unable to make it as a result of other commitments, may I take this opportunity of wishing you a very happy Christmas on behalf of all the Elton staff and governors. We look forward to seeing you in 2014 with resolutions intact!
Best wishes, and thank you for your continued support,
Mrs. A
